Job Description

Work Area: New Feature Development, Review test plans with QA
& participate in code reviews with other developers, Analyze impact to
system and customer, design required functionality, create technical
specifications, attend project meetings and release into QA, Take ownership
of release from conception through deployment, setting up environments and
documenting release notes and technical details regarding functionality and
configuration, Participate and contribute in conceiving future technology
and next generation products, Mentor junior engineers and be resource for
all engineers in area of expertise, Research, design and develop new
feature enhancements for company core products. Requires at least six years
commercial application development experience utilising
Java (including Core Java, Servlets, JDBC, JSP
and JAXP) and Oracle (including SQL, Oracle functions, transactions &
locks and triggers) Working knowledge of EJB development and deployment
preferred (including WEBLOGIC/WEBSPHERE/JRUN), Working knowledge of Solaris
environment would be an added advantage, Working knowledge of the
residential mortgage industry, Good communication skills, both written and
verbal. We need a technical leader with 6+ years
experience. 1 year at least should have been on Struts and the rest on
J2EE.
